About me
My name is Simone Iacaz, I'm 26 years old, I live in Rome and I'm a filmmaker and videographer specialising in data management and archive production.
I collaborate with directors, producers and DoP to oversee all the technical and organisational elements of the shooting and post-production. This encompasses the pre-production phase, where we determine the equipment and the quality of the footage, through to the handover of the material to post-production. This ensures that those responsible for the creative vision can focus exclusively on that artistic aspect of the project.
My mentors
I specialised in this field while working closely with Toni D'Angelo at Isola Produzioni S.r.l., where I managed the archive heritage, digitised phisical material such as photos and newspapers and organised it for the documentary film "Nino. 18 giorni", a film presented at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival (September 2025) and the International Film Festival Rotterdam (February 2026).
Where I pursued my studies
Furthermore, I contributed as a script supervisor and assistant editor during these works. Such roles require precision and organisation at every stage of production.
